Brilliant campsite! Generous size pitches. Owner was very helpful and accommodating. Loads to see, hear and do. The wildlife is incredible in the area we saw seals, geese, herons and lots more. 👍
I love this spot. Great for walks along the sea wall. The Thames estuary is literally 200M away, where you can view the docks in the distance, watch the ships go by and take in the surprising variety of wildlife (not sure why, but I wasn’t expecting the bank of the Thames to be this nice!). If you’re lucky you can spot seals!l too!
A 10 min walk or cycle down to the Coal House Fort recommended, where there is a cafe during the day or it’s gorgeous to site beside the lagoon/moat on a summer’s evening.
Migrating birds fly overhead most mornings/evenings to and from a splash beside the campsite, which is quite a sight (And sound, if it’s geese!)
BBQ’s, Campfires and dramatic skies mean that I’ve been back several times this summer in my RV and would thoroughly recommend it.
This place is excellent and the facilities are amazing.
This is a great campsite, nicely cared for with really good eco toilets and nature all around.
Lovely area, guys who run the place are incredibly helpful and friendly, individual camping circles so everyone knows their area and has boundaries on where not to go, toilet facilities and showers are excellent.. all around lovely lovely place!
Super friendly owners! We felt so welcomed and cared for. Beautifully spaced crop circle like pitches, each came with a picnic table and a fire pit. The scenery was opened to 360 degrees, we saw amazing sunsets in this vast openness. The hot water shower was so lovely and the eco compost loos were clean. All the facilities had been well done. Really loved the location, short 30mins by train from London and took us about 30mins to walk from East Tilbury station. Along the way (10mis away from camp) there was a Co-op super market, Fish & Chips and a cafe. A short nature walk to this beautiful lake and also a local pub called ‘The Ship’. The food there was great. We loved being amongst the endless nature walks with the beautiful sights of animals, building our own fire, cooking over it whilst star gazing above. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you for your hospitality.
We would like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU! We had such a magical stay here on your very beautiful land. This is a very special healing space you have created and will be definitely seeing you guys again! Much love and light. Rena & Yin
We have a new favourite campsite! 🏕️❤️
Love the circle pitches, plenty of space and didn’t feel overlooked like at most sites. Amazing views, great facilities.
Lovely Eco campsite. Large grassed area for each pitch. Plenty of room with a picnic bench and fire pit! And not on top of other campers. Showers were lovely. Area to wash your dishes. Toilets were clean and well kept. Would definitely go back! Thank you for a lovely stay!
Just come back from a three day break at Thamesview camping. Lovely sized plots each with own picnic table and fire pits and your own private composting toilets. Well thought out with shower block, wash up area and bins. Owners are really helpful and friendly and will supply firewood. Lovely walk along the sea wall. The nature reserve is being extended and will be stunning when finished. Pub, shops etc only a short walk away too. We visited the Ship on way out and had a fabulous truly home cooked meal… we didn’t take advantage of bike hire, fishing rods etc but nice to know we could have done.
